Dream Jumper Cover (GalleyCat)Actor Greg Grunberg and cartoonist Lucas Turnbloom have signed a deal with the Scholastic imprint, Graphix. As an actor, Grunberg became well-known for playing the role of Matt Parkman on NBC’s Heroes.

The collaborators will write a graphic novel entitled Dream Jumper: Nightmare Escape. Turnbloom will also create the illustrations for this project. Filmmaker J.J. Abrams, one of Grunberg’s childhood friends, has agreed to write a foreword.

Grunberg gave this statement in the press release: “Lucas and I met at San Diego Comic-Con. We hit it off immediately and knew we wanted to create something together. When my 12 year-old son Ben described a dream he had about a boy who could jump in and out of his friends’ nightmares to help them fight off bad guys and monsters, it sounded like a really relatable and exciting world to build a graphic novel and I immediately thought of Lucas.”
