Gourmet EIC to Write Book about Condé Nast Experiences

By Jason Boog

reichl$ruth.gifJust days after Condé Nast shuttered Gourmet magazine (along with Modern Bride, Elegant Bride, Gourmet, and Cookie), the magazine’s former editor in chief has decided to write about her time at the company.

According to the NY Times, the former editor-in-chief Ruth Reichl will soon write about her Condé Nast experience. In addition to this upcoming project, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt just published the Reichl-edited cookbook “Gourmet Today” and she will star in the PBS television show, “Gourmet’s Adventures With Ruth.”

Here’s an excerpt from the article: “‘I’m just sad but when I’m done being sad I’ll be working on my next book’ she said. What book? Ruth Reichl: The Condé Nast years. That’s not the title, of course. But it is the content.” (Editor’s photo via HMH release)
