The search engine can now answer questions like “Tell me about magical realism” or “Tell me about abstract art.”

AppNewser has more details about the search engine update:

Google has turned 15 today and to celebrate the company has reformulated its search engine. The updated version is called Hummingbird and it is designed to deliver better search results for questions … Google has also marked the occasion by creating a Google Doodle of the Google logo which turns into a video game piñata. You can hit it to knock candy out and earn points. Follow this link to work on your high score.

Here’s more from Google’s official announcement, outlining the refined search functions:

We keep expanding features of the Knowledge Graph so it can answer more questions—even those that don’t have a simple answer. Let’s say you want to get your daughter excited about a visit to the Met. You can pull up your phone and say to Google: “Tell me about Impressionist artists.” You’ll see who the artists are, and you can dive in to learn more about each of them and explore their most famous works. If you want to switch to Abstract artists, you can do that really easily with our new filter tool.
