Ghostbusters Rally Support for New York Public Library

In the video above, Improv Everywhere paid homage to Ghostbusters in an attempt to rally support for NYC’s struggling libraries.

As we reported last week, the New York Public Library system faces $37 million in cuts this year. NYPL president Paul LeClerc called the proposed cuts “the largest in the Library’s history.”

Here’s more from the NY Times: “A press representative for the New York Public Library said that the library approached Improv Everywhere about using its austere environs for the video stunt. The library said it hopes to use the video to publicize its Don’t Close the Book campaign, which is designed to raise funds as well as awareness that the library is facing a budget cut of as much as $37 million.” (Via Book Bench)
