In one of the more unexpected partnerships in recent memory, the literary journal Granta is teaming up with the website Flavorpill to co-sponsor a short film contest.
Flavorpill, Granta and London’s School of Life just announced the The Rehearsal Project Short-Film Contest, soliciting 3-minute or less videos from readers to celebrate the release of Eleanor Catton’s debut novel, “The Rehearsal.” The deadline is July 21st.
Here are more details, from the site: “In the run-up to The Rehearsal’s July launch, we’re seeking out film or digital shorts that touch on the broad theme of ‘life as performance.’ We’ll be posting our favorites on Flavorpill through the month, with the winner to be decided by a high profile judging panel and announced at the School of Life on July 23 and worldwide through Flavorpill.” (Via Jacket Copy)
