Paramount will shoot a movie based on Jeff VanderMeer’s science-fiction novel, Annihilation. Five actors have been recruited for the cast: Natalie Portman, Oscar Isaac, Tessa Thompson, Gina Rodriguez, and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Variety reports that Alex Garland, the director behind Ex-Machina, has come on board to take the helm. Scott Rudin, a Hollywood titan, will serve as a producer.
