Random House Children’s Books and Dr. Seuss Enterprises have formed a partnership. The two organizations plan to donate 50,000 new Dr. Seuss books to the non-profit, First Book.
This charitable venture honors the 112th birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel. The beloved children’s books creator was born on March 2, 1904.
Barbara Marcus, the president and publisher of Random House Children’s Books, offered this statement in the press release: “Dr. Seuss’s incredible imagination, unique storytelling, and beloved characters have inspired generations of readers to learn to love to read, and we at Random House aspire to carry this legacy on in our work every day. We are thrilled to work with First Book to give children who do not have access to books the opportunity to experience the magic of reading a Dr. Seuss book.”
