Latina author, Michele Martinez’s NOTORIOUS (William Morrow) is my Featured “Book of Color” Pick of the Day. It is a great pleasure seeing more Latino voices coming on to the scene and Michele Martinez is no exception. In her debut suspense novel, Martinez tells the story of Melanie a woman who is thrown into the middle of a high-speed cat and mouse game when the lawyer she was working with is murdered in a car bombing. Determined to hunt down his killer, Melanie Vargas must fight to keep one step ahead of the killers before they make her their next victim.
Although this book came out last year, it is yet another example of a good read written by a person of color that slips through the cracks. Pick up a copy of NOTORIOUS at your local bookstore today.
