I fell in love with this book, Coretta Scott, poetry by Ntozake Shange and Paintings by Kadir Nelson.
“The illustrations”, that’s all I have to say, “the illustrations.” They’re mouth-watering, mind-blowing, so life-like but keep the simplicity that can be enjoyed by a child. The poetry is simple yet meaningful. This is a book I look forward to sharing with my niece and nephews about a beautiful, powerful and amazing woman in history.
