Back in June, when I went to the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art festival, I told you about Laika, the First Second graphic novel by Nick Abadzis that would, I warned, cause you to wet the pages with your tears. Now you don’t just have to take my word for it: the Vulture blog at the New York website has a lengthier excerpt from the story which is already enough to break your heart. Am I allowed to say this is the most touching book I’ve read all year? Well, it is.
