Coraline author Neil Gaiman was challenged by his wife, musician Amanda Palmer, to take on the #IceBucketChallenge. The video embedded above features Gaiman performing the act with assistance from a group of friends. In addition to having a bucket of ocean water and ice thrown over his head, Gaiman names a new set of challengers that includes A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin.
The video below features Martin completing the challenge. Prior to getting hit with the buckets, Martin uttered a quote from his beloved fantasy series: “God help us all, but Winter is coming.” Gaimain responded on Facebook by saying: “Dear George. I’m sorry. (I’m not sorry.)”
