How To Add a Facebook Subscribe Button

By Jason Boog

Digg co-founder Kevin Rose recently discovered that Facebook’s new “Subscribe” button produced significantly more traffic than his Google+ or Twitter account.

Facebook added the subscription feature to allow readers to get public updates from journalists, celebrities, politicians and other public figures. Follow this link to enable the “Subscribe” button on your Facebook account.

AllFacebook has more about the story: “I saw [Rose’s] publicly visible status update about this in my news feed even though he’s not one of my Facebook friends because I’d clicked on the subscribe button he enabled on his profile … Even though he has more than five times as many Twitter followers (1,200,000) as Facebook subscribers (220,000), he received 10 percent more clicks from Facebook. Facebook produces more than five times more clicks than Twitter.” (Via Alan Meckler)
