Entitle Joins the Growing eBook Subscription Marketplace

By Dianna Dilworth

entitleThe eBook subscription marketplace is getting busy these days with offerings from Oyster and Scribd that let readers pay a monthly membership fee in exchange for access to eBooks. Entitle is a new eBook subscription company to enter the market.

Unlike Oyster, which sells itself as the Netflix-for-eBooks and gives access to unlimited titles for $9.99 a month, Entitle’s customers pay for the number of eBooks they can access and then actually get to keep copies of the eBooks that they download for good (even after their subscription has ended). eReetah offers a similar model.

Entitle costs $21.99 a month for access to 3 eBooks or $27.99 a month for access to 4 eBooks. Members can access titles within the Entitle apps, which are available on iOS, Android, Kindle, Nook and Kobo devices. Like competitors in the industry, Entitle has more than 100,000 eBooks to choose from in its library.
