Electric Literature is running a #LitWords Twitter contest today, calling all readers to “tweet invented literature-inspired words and definitions with the #LitWords hashtag.” What does that mean? Oh you know, a “Wendy – adj. Disposed to falling in love with immature men. #litwords.” got it?
The contest was dreamed up to promote author Carson Mell’s book Saguaro. In the book, when the main character a fading rockstar tells his ex not to swear, he makes up his own word. Here is more from the Electric Literature blog:

“No,” I said, but in reality I had—I’d made up three of them, popularized them with my songs. One of them, snisper, was in common use in Australia.Censors and decency forbid us from telling you what “snisper” really means. But to celebrate Bobby Bird’s contributions to language—as well as the release of our second novel—we’re holding a #LitWords contest today on Twitter!
You can enter as many times as you want by midnight today. Mell will select 5 winners, each of whom will get a free eBook copy of Saguaro (ePub or Kindle).
