Dooce’ll Do a Book for Kensington,She Just Won’t Write It

By Neal

heather-armstrong.jpgLate last week, we told you about the settlement of Kensington’s suit against Heather Armstrong (left), the Dooce.com blogger who was supposed to be a Kensington author until she decided she’d rather not, except that the publisher was pretty sure they had a binding deal. We were sort of curious as to how the dispute got resolved, especially since Armstrong seemed totally dejected about the outcome. Now we know, according to a profile published this week in the Salt Lake Tribune, Armstrong will be editing an anthology. No idea what the theme is, but if I had to hazard a guess, I’d say there’ll be a bunch of bloggers involved and the emotion dial will go up to 11. But wouldn’t you like to be a fly on the wall when Kensington’s marketing teams meet to decide how much they’re going to bother caring about the project? Although the fact that other writers are involved will undoubtedly work in the book’s favor… (Thanks for the referral, rIAm!)
