Don Linn Joins University of Chicago Press

By Jason Boog

Don Linn is the new director of the University of Chicago Press’ Chicago Distribution Center.  He will start on July 16, replacing the retired director, Donald A. Collins.

Here’s more about the post: “The Chicago Distribution Center (CDC) is among the publishing industry’s leading distributors of scholarly and academic books. With strengths in traditional warehousing and fulfillment, e-content sales, short run digital printing, and digital asset management through BiblioVault, the CDC maintains a client base of over 100 domestic and international publishers. It is uniquely positioned to meet the challenges of a book market that is transitioning from traditional print models to a combination of print, short run, on demand, and digital books.”

Most recently, Linn led the management consulting service at Firebrand Associates. Linn previously served as book group publisher at The Taunton Press and CEO of Consortium Book Sales & Distribution.
