Three-time Caldecott Medal winner David Wiesner has inked a book deal for a new picture book called I Got It! Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Books for Young Readers’ Clarion Books imprint will publish the book in spring 2015.
Clarion Books publisher Dinah Stevenson acquired the book in an unagented deal. Stevenson will also edit the picture book Here’s more from the release:
In the split second after the ball leaves the bat and before the young outfielder catches it (or doesn’t), the images that pass through the boy’s mind—ranging from a successful catch to a nightmarish slog through quicksand—form a suspenseful, spellbinding wordless picture book in the best Wiesner tradition.
Wiesner won the prestigious Caldecott Medal for Tuesday (1992), The Three Pigs (2002) and Flotsam (2007). In October, the publisher will release Mr. Wuffles!, another picture book by Weisner.
