David Foster Wallace Collection on Tennis Hits Bookstores in May

By Dianna Dilworth

The Library of America will release a new collection of writing from the late author David Foster Wallace on May 10.

The book, String Theory: David Foster Wallace on Tennis, is a collection of five essays that Wallace wrote on tennis, including profiles of Roger Federer, Michael Joyce, and Tracy Austin. The title includes an introduction by New York Times Magazine writer John Jeremiah Sullivan.

This is the first collection of Wallace’s work to be published since his suicide in 2008, other than a 20th edition reprint of his bestselling work, Infinite Jest, from Back Bay Books earlier this year.
