David Ezra Stein has signed a deal with Candlewick Press. He plans to create a picture book entitled Interrupting Chicken and the Elephant of Surprise.
This project will be a sequel to the 2010 Caldecott Honor title, Interrupting Chicken. The publication date for the new book has been set for September 12, 2017.
