penguinca.jpgQuill & Quire reports that David Davidar, the president of Penguin Canada, will soon be leaving the company.

News of the move was revealed to the company this morning, and confirmed with director of marketing Yvonne Hunter. Canadian staff, said Hunter, will be reporting to Penguin U.S. CEO David Shanks.

Here’s more from the post: “[Davidar] took over the firm in fall 2003 and has been widely credited with returning it to good health– will soon be stepping down and returning to India, his homeland … It was only this morning that news of the move was revealed to the rest of the company.”
