Daveed Diggs Lands Role in the Wonder Movie

Daveed Diggs 200 (GalleyCat)Daveed Diggs has signed on for a role in the Wonder film adaptation. He has become well-known as the Tony Award-winning actor who originated the dual role of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in Hamilton: An American Musical.

The story for this movie comes from R.J. Palacio’s bestselling middle grade novel. Variety reports that Diggs (pictured, via) will play the teacher of the primary protagonist Auggie Pullman. Some of the other actors joining Diggs in the cast include Jacob Tremblay as Auggie, Julia Roberts as Auggie’s mother, and Owen Wilson as Auggie’s father.
