Dark Horse Comics announced that a new installment of the Buffy young adult series is in-the-works. Kel McDonald, a writer, and Yishan Li, an artist, will collaborate on Buffy: The High School Years—Glutton for Punishment.
According to the press release, the story for this project takes place during the season one of the beloved television series. The publication date has been scheduled for October 19.
Li created the artwork for the first installment of this comic series, Buffy: The High School Years—Freaks & Geeks. Freaks & Geeks, slated for release on June 1, features a story written by Faith Erin Hicks. Joss Whedon, the creator of the TV show, has agreed to serve as an executive producer for both the first and second books.
