Chris Riddell, the United Kingdom children’s laureate, has taken it upon himself to create illustrations for a Neil Gaiman poem called “Instructions.” Follow this link to see a digital album with all 18 of Riddell’s artistic pieces.
HarperCollins published “Instructions” as a picture book back in 2010; this work features artwork by Charles Vess. Click here to read the full text of Gaiman’s poem.
In the past, Riddell and Gaiman have collaborated on several of the U.K. editions of Gaiman’s children’s books. In 2015, Riddell illustrated an “artist’s creed” that Gaiman wrote in honor of the terrorist attacks at the offices of Charlie Hebdo magazine. (via Neil Gaiman’s Facebook page)
