Charles Ramsey, Ohio Man That Saved Kidnapped Women, to Write Book

By Dianna Dilworth

ramseyCharles Ramsey, the man who saved three kidnap victims held captive by Ariel Castro in Ohio, has signed a deal with Gray & Company. In the memoir, Ramsey will tell the story of his life both before and after the rescue.

Randy Nyerges, co-author of Day of the Dawg football player’s Hanford Dixon’s memoir, will co-author Ramsey’s book.

Here is more about the book from the press release:

In his book, Ramsey will give a detailed account of the day of the rescue. He’ll describe living next door to kidnapper Ariel Castro while unaware that the women were being held captive in his neighbor’s house. He’ll tell what it was like to become an instant celebrity. (For example, he says he learned the hard way that when a national TV show flies you to New York City for an interview, that doesn’t mean they also bought you a return ticket to Cleveland.)

Kidnap victim Michelle Knight is currently working on a book for Weinstein Books. The other two victims, Amanda Berry and Georgina ” Gina” DeJesus, are collaborating on a book about their experience with Washington Post reporters Mary Jordan and Kevin Sullivan.
