Amazon has released its 2011 Best Books of the Year List. The annual Amazon list includes Amazon’s Editor’s Picks for the Top 100 Books of the Year broken down into Top 10 lists by category. Categories include literature & fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels and even crafts.

Chad Harbach, Haruki Murakami and Kari Marlantes made the Top 3 slots of the Top 10 Editor’s picks for the year. Harbach’s The Art of Fielding is a baseball book, Murakami’s 1Q84 is a novel about how two people living parallel lives meet and Mariantes’ What It is Like To Go To War is a memoir that reflects the aftermath of serving in a war.

The list includes a new category for Kindle Singles, short form digital content that is longer than a magazine article but shorter than a book. The best Kindle Singles include: Blood on the Tracks by Cecelia Holland; The Saint by Oliver Broudy; and Three Cups of Deceit by Jon Krakauer.
