CBS has ordered a pilot for a comedy show inspired by John Bridges‘ book, How To Be a Gentleman: A Contemporary Guide to Common Courtesy. According to Deadline, writer and actor David Hornsby wrote the script and will act as an executive producer.

Here’s more from the article: “Hornsby first got interested in using Bridges’ book as a jumping-off point for a series several years ago. He wrote the project on spec at Media Rights Capital, which had optioned the rights to the book.”

Before writing his book, Bridges served as the Director of Cultural Affairs for the City of Nashville. His books have been translated into more than 15 different languages.
