Cassandra Clare unveiled the cover for her forthcoming young adult novel, entitled Lady Midnight, at New York Comic Con. The book will be the first installment of her new Shadowhunters series, The Dark Artifices.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the story “follows Emma Corsairs, a Shadowhunter who protects the world from demons. Emma investigates when the corpses of humans and faeries alike begin appearing in the same state as her own parents had when they were murdered. Along with her parabatai Julian, her best friend she can’t fall in love with according to Shadowhunter law, Emma must find the murderer before the murderer finds her.”
