Caroline Marks, the general manager of digital parents and lifestyle platforms at Meredith, has been named CEO of Bookish–replacing Paulo Lemgruber as he departs.

Bookish is a mysterious new book site created by Hachette Book Group, Penguin Group (USA) and Simon & Schuster. Marks also served as the first general manager for The Daily Beast and the general manager of social media and social video initiatives at Comcast Corporation.

Marks had a brief statement in the release: “Bookish will occupy a unique place among the many different book-oriented sites … I look forward to working with all the participating publishers and our partners the AOL Huffington Post Media Group to bring this exciting project to fruition.”
