Candlewick Press has launched “E-Volt.” This new Tumblr page focuses on curating young adult eBook deals.
Followers will receive information on digital book deals for both new releases and back list titles priced at $2.99 or lower. In addition, the children’s publisher also plans to write posts featuring fun content such as book excerpts, videos, and quotations from their own young adult list. Some of the books currently featured on the site include Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta, Angel Burn by L.A. Weatherly, and The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things by Carolyn Mackler.
Senior vice president John Mendelson gave this statement in the release: “With more tablets in the marketplace, we are conscious of the need to give consumers every excuse to use them as a reading device. E-Volt is an exciting extension of our efforts to reach readers directly regardless of their chosen reading platform. What started as a conversation about an e-book deal site blossomed into what will hopefully become a community for learning about and sharing great reads for teens.”
