Brad Meltzer teamed up with Barbara Bush for a special storytime video. Together, the author and the former First Lady read aloud from the biographical picture book I Am Lucille Ball.
The video embedded above features Meltzer donning a red wig and re-creating the famous “conveyor belt” scene from the I Love Lucy television series. Click here to watch the original comedic scene performed by Ball and Vivian Vance (as Lucy’s lovable sidekick Ethel Mertz).
I Am Lucille Ball belongs to the Ordinary People Change the World series which features stories by Meltzer and illustrations by Christopher Eliopoulos. Dial Books for Young Readers, a Penguin Young Readers imprint, first released this book, one of ten installments from the series, in July 2015.
