On a cold pre-Inauguration evening, GalleyCat spotted a New York author peddling his unique book alongside a sea of generic Barack Obama t-shirts, skull-hats, and posters. Isadore Johnson, author of Drug Dealer, has sold his books on the streets and subways of New York City for years.

Dressed in a leather jacket studded with rhinestones that spelled “PRESIDENT OBAMA,” Johnson re-told his success story–publishing, marketing, and finally, selling his book on the streets. He explained that the inauguration was great for business, tying his juicy story to Washington DC politics.
