Book That Disappears As You Read

By Dianna Dilworth

To motivate readers to read works from new authors and give them a chance at a second book, Argentinian publisher Eterna Cadencia released its anthology of new Latin American authors using a book printed with disappearing ink. The ink begins to disappear once it comes in contact with light and air, lasting only two months once it is opened.

The Independent UK has more: “El Libro que No Puede Esperar (The Book That Can’t Wait) comes in a sealed package and as soon as you start to turn its pages, the ink begins to age… and fade.”

We’ve embedded a video above that shows how it is made.
