Book Blogger Census

By Jason Boog

bbsurvey.jpgHow much do you know about the book bloggers in your life? Book Lady’s Blog editor Rebecca Joines Schinsky and Kaplan Publishing digital marketing manager Brett Sandusky have teamed up to create an anonymous survey of book bloggers–a literary census, of sorts, helping publishers and online scribes understand each other better.

Here’s more about the survey: “This information will be useful in helping facilitate more effective communication between bloggers and publishers by giving all involved a more concrete idea of what to expect and how to measure and determine successful placement of books on book blogs. We also hope it will encourage book bloggers to be more transparent about their blogs’ statistics and to provide relevant data when communicating with publishers to request or arrange reviews.”

Follow this link to take the survey. If enough bloggers respond, this survey could provide some useful statistics for publishers, publicists, and GalleyCat editors. We’ll keep you posted as the experiment continues.
