Bonnier Publishing Launches Children’s Imprint in U.S.

png_base644339bea98ad71d76Bonnier Publishing, a UK-based publishing house, has introduced a new imprint in the U.S. dedicated to children’s books. “The name little bee books symbolizes the playful busyness and insatiable curiosity of children, who tirelessly buzz from one activity to the next,” explains a press release.

Little bee books, which will be based in New York. Shimul Tolia will serve as president of the operation. The imprint will publish books for readers 0-12 years old. Titles will range from board books and picture books to activity books and novelty books. The publisher will publish its first titles in spring 2015. Simon & Schuster will distribute the titles in the U.S. and Canada.

Bonnier also owned Autumn Children’s Books, a UK-based children’s book publisher.
