Blood, Moons, & Tapestries: Coming Attractions

By Maryann Yin

Happy Monday and happy reading. Here are some selections from our New Books section.

The Wrong Blood by Manuel de Lope: “During the Spanish Civil War, a poor servant girl is raped by a passing soldier. In a nearby town, a wealthy young woman marries a soldier and departs for her honeymoon at Biarritz. Time will bring these women together in a fine house by the sea and war will present them with the necessity for a dark bargain, one that will alter the lives of future generations.” (September 28th)

Under Witch Moon by Maria E. Schneider: “Adriel should have known that with a werewolf, it never stopped with just one body. She would have gone to the police after witnessing Dolores’ death, but she wasn’t certain the killer she saw was responsible for the other murders. It was going to take every spell she knew and a few she hadn’t tried to solve the murders and stay alive.” (October 10th)

The Tapestry Shop by Joyce Elson Moore: “This is the story of the trouvère Adam de la Halle, a thirteenth century wandering poet/musician who entertained in France’s royal courts. This book tells the story of his love with Catherine, a shopkeeper’s daughter.” (November 5th)
