Beth Lamb Named Associate Publisher at Vintage Anchor

A number of publishing organizations have announced new hires this past week.

Beth Lamb will move from Rodale to Random House’s Vintage Anchor imprint as vice president and associate publisher. She will report to Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group executive vice president Anne Messitte.

Seale Ballenger will jump from Zola Books to Disney Publishing Worldwide. Ballenger will begin in his new role as publicity director on July 8, 2013.

Young adult novelist Patrick Ryan has been brought on board at One Teen Story, a literary magazine for teen readers, as editor-in-chief.

The Lambda Literary Foundation has appointed Kyle Sawyer to fill the program coordinator position. Sawyer will oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the organization’s Los Angeles office.

Two publicists at HarperCollins have received promotions.

Sharyn Rosenblum and Jane Beirn have both been named vice president. Throughout her career, Rosenblum has managed campaigns for Tom Franklin, Laura Lippman, and Willie Nelson. Some of the high profile authors Beirn has worked with include Ann Patchett, Lionel Shriver, and Barbara Kingsolver.
