Benedict Cumberbatch has signed on as the star voice actor for a remake of Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch That Stole Christmas. Cumberbatch has taken on roles in several book-based movies including The Imitation Game, Doctor Strange, and two installments of Peter Jackson’s Hobbit film trilogy.
According to Variety, Michael LeSieur will be adapting this classic story for the script.
Time reports that Pete Candeland and Yarrow Cheney will both serve as the directors. The theatrical release date has been set for Nov. 10, 2017. (via The Huffington Post)
