Rising Sun Pictures, a visual effects studio, was hired to tackle projects for Game of Thrones season six. The video embedded above features the “breakdown reel” for episode ten, “The Winds of Winter.”
Here’s more from The Wall Street Journal: “Set to “Game of Thrones” composer Ramin Djawadi‘s haunting track ‘Light of the Seven,’ the video demonstrates all of the layers of effects that are added to live-action shots. The most intricate moments depict the actual green inferno of the wildfire explosion itself, which Queen Cersei (Lena Headey) used to wipe out all of her rivals in King’s Landing.”
