Barnes & Noble’s Board Fires CEO

Barnes & Noble CEO Ronald D. Boire is out.

“The Board of Directors determined that Mr. Boire was not a good fit for the organization and that it was in the best interests of all parties for him to leave the Company,” the book seller revealed in a press release.

The company’s executive chairman, Leonard Riggio, will postpone his plans to retire on September 14th until the company finds a replacement, and will lead the company in the interim.

The retail chain has begun an executive search for a new CEO.
