The Ledger legal blog reported that Barnes & Noble bid on some of Borders intellectual property assets.

Here is more from The Ledger: “Hilco Trading said late Thursday that multiple bidders agreed to buy $15.8 million of bookseller Borders’ intellectual property, including a global portfolio of trademarks; the Borders, Waldenbooks and Brentano’s trade names; Internet domain names and the Borders.com e-commerce website.”

Berjaya Books also bid on the assets. The liquidation company did not disclose the outcome of the bidding process. Borders closed forever this weekend. (Via Mike Cane)
