The New York Times reports that the Commander in Chief first enjoyed the comic strip during his childhood. Time may have passed, but Obama claims that he “never outgrew it.”
This book contains the Peanuts comics that ran from “Jan. 1, 1999, through Feb. 13, 2000, when the final Peanuts strip was published the day after the death of its creator, Charles M. Schulz.” It will also feature an early work by Schulz called Li’l Folks; this one-panel comic appeared weekly in his hometown newspaper, the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
Fantagraphics Books has set the publication date for May 2016. (via Comic Book Resources)
