Rumors have been circulating in Hollywood that Marvel Entertainment has brought on Ava DuVernay, the filmmaker behind Selma, to direct the Black Panther film adaptation.
Chadwick Boseman, the actor who starred in the 42 and Get On Up biopics, has been confirmed to play the tactical superhero. This character will be first introduced in the Captain America: Civil War movie.
According to Vanity Fair, this project will be “Marvel’s first minority-led superhero movie.” The company announced earlier this year that the release date has been set for July 06, 2018. (via Paste Magazine)
