Shelf Awareness reports that just two days after Rick Vanzura‘s resignation, Bill Nasshan, senior v-p of trade books, is leaving Borders to become executive v-p of merchandising and marketing at Shaw’s Supermarkets, the New England grocery store chain that includes Star Markets. Nasshan, whose departure is effective this Friday, has been with Borders since early 2003 and was instrumental in Borders’s implementation of category management and more recently helped develop the merchandising portion of Borders’ new strategic plan.
