This award gives me a great opportunity to share with you this awesome photo of the Kafka statue in Prague that I took a few years back. I was amazed that it wasn’t listed in my guide book (shame on you immensely heavy DK Travel Guide, I hope you’ve updated this item.)
According to the New York Times, “The Czech novelist Arnost Lustig has been named the eighth winner of the Franz Kafka award for literature, Agence France-Presse reported. Previous winners include Harold Pinter, Philip Roth and Haruki Murakami.”
