amazon304Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, confirmed that the company will launch more brick-and-mortar bookstores in the future.

According to The Seattle Times, Bezos gave this statement about this venture during a recent shareholders meeting: “It’s an experiment. We’re definitely going to open additional stores.”

The Independent reports that Bezos did not state the number of stores that are currently in-the-works, the potential locations, or opening dates. Earlier this year, rumors were circulating that the company had plans in place to launch hundreds of brick-and-mortar bookstores. The first shop, located at Seattle’s University Village shopping center, opened its doors in late 2015. Customers will find it stocked with 5,000 to 6,000 books at a time and Kindle devices. (via Digital Trends)
