Amazon is now selling its Kindle Fire device in China.
The device retails for 499 yuan. The Kindle store includes hundreds of thousands of Chinese language books. The Kindle e-reader is already available in China and Amazon has sold more than a million devices. The tablet also sells content for learning English. Chinese e-commerce firm Baidu will provide search, apps, and online video on these devices in China.
Fire is the company’s best-selling tablet. Amazon has sold millions of devices since launch.
