Amazon Launches Sci-Fi & Horror Imprint

Amazon Publishing unveiled 47North today, a new sci-fi and horror imprint. It will publish original  works, as well as previously published titles and out-of-print books.

eBookNewser has more: “It launches with 15 books, including The Mongoliad: Book One, the first in the five-book collection of stories from various authors including Neal Stephenson and Greg Bear. Other titles include Lee Goldberg and William Rabkin‘s new digital novel Face of Evil, the first novel in The Dead Man series, which comes out this month. A handful of titles are slated for publication next year including Dave Duncan‘s Against the Light, which comes out in January.”

In May, the company launched a  romance imprint, over the summer, they teamed up with self-help guru Timothy Ferris. The new Seattle-based imprint joins AmazonEncore, AmazonCrossing, Powered by Amazon, Montlake Romance and Thomas & Mercer.
