Amanda Murray Cut at Simon & Schuster

s&slogo23.jpgThe NY Observer broke the news that editor Simon & Schuster editor Amanda Murray has been cut. She had worked with some big names in fiction, including: Robert M. Parker, Jr., Mary Higgins Clark, and Sandra Brown.

Here’s more from the article: “Jonathan Karp replaced David Rosenthal last month, and he’s now begun to assemble his own editorial team at Simon & Schuster. Senior editor Amanda Murray has been fired, she confirmed today. Karp could not be reached for comment.”

Yesterday we reported that newly-hired publisher Jonathan Karp had hired senior editors Ben Loehnen and Jofie Ferrari-Adler to acquire and edit nonfiction titles.
