Alex Segura has been named executive director of publicity and marketing at Archie Comics.
In the release, Segura had this quote: “My first comic book was a copy of Betty & Veronica Double Digest, so coming to Archie is in many ways a homecoming … I’m energized, honored and very much looking forward to working with Jon and the gang on how best to promote the great collection of characters and stories Archie has to offer.”
Prior to joining Archie Comics, Segura served as the publicity manager at DC Comics. There, he helped launch the company’s first daily news blog, The Source. He also worked on national publicity campaigns for beloved comic book figures such as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
