Adriana Dominguez, former Executive Editor at HarperCollins Children’s Books and manager of the children’s division of their Latino imprint, Rayo, has recently joining Full Circle Literary, making the transition from editor to agent. She is also a professional translator, working on many Spanish-language translations of best-selling children’s books.

Dominguez is a perfect example of someone who has turned lemons into lemonade. After a downsize at HarperCollins, she became a consultant for major publishing houses, working with them on the editorial side, as well as on marketing and publicity campaigns targeting the Latino market. Dominguez’s past experience, coupled with all that she had learned in the past year led her to decide to join Full Circle Literary in order to make it possible for all authors to benefit from her knowledge and experience. Since joining the agency, Dominguez has taken on authors on both the adult and children’s side, including award winning Reyna Grande, petitcollage founder Lorena Siminovich, and bilingual newcomer Mara Price.

Over the past year, Dominguez’s love for developing Hispanic talent and connecting people led her to launch VOCES, a blog for Latino authors and books. Dominguez will be participating at this year’s Latino Book and Family Festival in Los Angeles on October 10th and 11th.
